Written in 1961, Latham scored this work for 22* 3*2-2331 Eu- T, 1 perc- DB. Originally published with a condensed score, this edition consists of a full score and 22 parts.
Lockwood wrote this piece in 1925 while studying with Ottorino Respighi in Rome. An octet scored for piccolo, flute, oboe, English horn, clarient, bass clarinet, bassoon, and contrabassoon, it is unique in the chamber wind repertoire.
